Hi! I'm Season Mabry. As a Stanly County native, wife, mom to three, and Mimi to one, I'm always on the go and loving life. You’ll often find me at M&R Retreading & Oil in Norwood, out and about selling my freeze-dried goods for Uwharrie Dry Harvest, or keeping up with my wild and wonderful crew.

The inspiration for Uwharrie Play Oasis came from a simple need: finding a safe, convenient place for my kids to go when life got hectic. My schedule didn’t always allow for planned childcare, and I needed something flexible—something I could use “in the moment.” That’s exactly what our drop-in care model provides: no commitments, just help when you need it.

My heart has always been to serve others in meaningful ways. I wanted to create a space that meets a real need in our community—a place where children can be safe, have fun, and thrive, while also supporting busy parents.

Uwharrie Play Oasis is designed to be inclusive and welcoming to all children, including those with different abilities. Whether a mom needs a couple hours for a doctor’s appointment, or a first-time mama wants to meet others while her little one makes new friends, we’re here for it.

We value family, inclusiveness, fun, and safety. Our open-door policy means we’re committed to working with families to make things work. Supporting one another is at the heart of what we do.
